Maybe not the right way to go about it but..

On my store main home page I have 5 different display areas that shows a chosen selection of products and randomises them.

What I would like to do is to have some of the display areas automatically pull a random selection of products from my chosen category.

For example.... I have a display area called "Football Managers" I also have a category called "Football Managers" so rather than specifically selecting the products to show up, I would like them all to show up, limited to say 10 at a time, but every time the page is refreshed or accessed they are all pulled randomly.

I suspect using the Product Display Area is not the right way to do this, so would appreciate some advice.

Also... I have a "Product Display Area" called "Current Bestsellers" what I would like this to do is to show my "Bestsellers" based on actual sales as shown in the OrderItems table from the database.

Is any of this possible?
