Hello,

We had talked about the idea in the past for adding in multivendor support so that we can have the option of ordering or drop shipping from our choice of vendors for the same item.

Is it possible for us to change the drop down menu in the inventory record to a checkbox option so we can select multiple vendors to a particular item? Another idea would be an option to add by search field similar to what is used for adding related items or categories by search.

By doing this we could also have an item show in projections when working on purchase orders for any vendor that the item is associated with giving us a choice to order from that vendor or a different one if we are ordering from another vendor but either way showing in the projections for any of them.

Is this something we can accomplish by changing the selection from a dropdown menu for vendors to using either checkboxes or multi search adding functionality or is there more going on that needs to be considered? I had already ruled out if average cost would be affected but it seems irrelevant since the cost is always updated into QBO each time a purchase order is exported.  Thank you
