Outside domains redirect target

Hello,

We have multisites and was attempting to change redirects from some outside domains we have to the appropriate multisite.  The only setting we have at the registrar simply points to your DNS Servers which appears to redirect to our main website domain.

I checked in SiteWorx to change the redirect and see a few of our other domains but not the one we want to change.  I attempted in Pointers to add it in to redirect to one of our multisites but received an error that one already exists.

Is there a setting I need to look at in K9 or SiteWorx to change?

Thank you smile

Re: Outside domains redirect target

It really depends on how we have it set up here.  MultiSites usually use their own domain account in SiteWorx.  Domains that aren't set up as sites on the server are usually just pointed via DNS to the correct site.  It's possible the site you're trying to add is already set up as an alias in SiteWorx for one of your sites and you're checking the wrong one.  DNS needs to be pointed for aliases to the same exact IP/location as whatever active site is going to handle the aliased domain.  Then the alias is set up on SiteWorx under that domain account.  Typically you'll want those aliases set up as redirects for MultiSites so the right domain gets used once the request gets to K9.  Nothing really to do in K9 for aliases.
