Stamps.com Update 17.5 (64 bit) Breaks ODBC Map

Last week we had an update for Stamps.com desktop software 64-bit to version 17.5 and the result caused the ODBC map connection to break.  After three and a half hours on the phone with Endicia tech support and four techs later it was determined we will need to rebuild the entire ODBC map to remedy the issue.  This wouldn't have been obvious because the Kryptronic profile is still showing in Stamps software but causes an error to try and access it.

My concern is if we rebuild the ODBC map could we still receive an error because something changed in their software that makes the map incompatible.  I'm not sure if this is an issue with 32-bit installations.  Thanks

Thanks for the info.  If after rebuilding the map, there's an issue, we'll look into it.  I'd think it will be fine.

We rebuilt the map and the same error comes up now on 2 pc's.  We've been on with Stamps tech support but no one seems to be able to figure out what is causing the error "In order to proceed with order import, you'll need to install the latest 64-bit ODBC drivers. Click More Info.... to learn how to install these drivers"  Stamps linked help file doesn't contain any information about ODBC drivers or the issue.

Re: Stamps.com Update 17.5 (64 bit) Breaks ODBC Map

We ran into this issue with another client and the only way to get Stamps working on the machine was to uninstall Stamps then install the last working version (downgrade it).  There's something broken in the new update, and we're not sure what it is.  We spent three days working on it and finally got it working via downgrade.

Re: Stamps.com Update 17.5 (64 bit) Breaks ODBC Map

We just had another report from a client stating that Stamps knows the new update is not working and they have published rollback instructions.  Apparently the fault is in the new Stamps version in that it requires a 64bit ODBC driver, but does not have the capability to recognize/check if any 64bit drivers exist (it lists 32bit versions only as valid choices, and the dialog for creating a new driver fails to complete properly).  Stamps is recommending you go two versions back from the latest as they also made a change to how weights are handled which may change in the next (fixed) release.

Thank you Nick for the update! I will look for their procedure to rollback the installations.
