how to upload pdfs for downloadable products?
I've been looking for where to do this. I need to upload a revised pdf for a product. I've been to
Dashboard / Store / Inventory / Inventory Items / Options / Custom Data
and it shows
DOWNLOAD:product-file.pdf
Other than FTPing the pdf, is there a place in the backend to do this?

You've got a custom setup which ties download files (PDFs) to inventory. For your situation, you'll want to upload those files via FTP to the {private}/downloads directory.
