Post Checkout Account Creation for Guests

We have quite a few customers who go down the PayPal Express or Guest checkout route and then ask why they cannot log into their account. OK, I hear the groans at this point but...

I see an increasing number of sites have solved this with a simple post checkout dialogue that asks the user if they wish to create an account to store their details for faster checkouts next time, order tracking, special offers, discount vouchers or whatever inducements the vendor wishes to offer. All they need to do is enter a password and maybe check a mailing list box. The cart has all their contact details at this point so it seems the ideal time to do it and increase the chance of creating a repeat customer.

Is there any chance this might be added to K9 as a standard feature at some point?

For you, absolutely.  It's been added to the list to develop for update 9.0.4.
