Custom shipping script that has USPS in it? Check Store / Component / Settings / Shipping Settings and see what your error method is named. Is that USPS something or other?

It is named Standard Carrier

OK. When you say you have several orders coming through with USPS shipping, what do you mean exactly? Are these orders placed in checkout or POS with a USPS shipping method? Were they placed in K9, or imported from a different version during an upgrade? Or are you saying orders are showing up in Batch Shipping Manager batches assigned to the USPS batch? When you try to place an order for an item that shipped USPS on one of these orders, what happens for you?

USPS shipping is coming up as an option on certain items (not all, random). Yes, I verified. orders placed in checkout. Not using Batch Shipping Manager. Never have had USPS turned on even in prior versions. checked items when it occurs in backend and UPS is only shipping option turned on for the item.

95% Realtime UPS, which the items I have seen come through are in that group. 5% Custom script, which I have not seen any come through as USPS.

Access Store / Shipping / Realtime Services and see if any UPS services are inadvertently using a name with 'USPS' in it. If you find one, somebody manually edited that on your install at some point.

No UPS Services had USPS in name. I turned off all USPS services (made False) and that remedied the problem. Not sure why it was pulling them because USPS tools is turned off.

I would assume either some or all of your Inventory Items have UPS and USPS selected as realtime options, or (one of) your custom shipping script(s) is pulling USPS rates realtime, or has a method with USPS in the name.
