paypal 404 issue

I am currently running test orders using paypal. I place the order and make the paypal payment but when I return to the site I get a 404: Not Found. It's a long time since I last set up a payment gateway so not sure where I am going wrong. I should point out that I am using a new paypal account for V9.

Re: paypal 404 issue

https://www.pramtyres.com/utilities/ecomrelay.php

Is returning a not found error.  Does the /utilities directory exist on your install (ie did you delete it)?  Does the file ecomrelay.php exist in it?  If so, are the permissions right so that it can be accessed via the web?  Once you get that URL to give you a Checkout Error Message when you access it directly, your PayPal return will start working.

Re: paypal 404 issue

755 for both the /utilities directory and all the php files in it.

Re: paypal 404 issue

Hi Nick,
I contacted my hosting company and they "re-set" the file permissions and all is working. Not sure why it needed re-setting but it was originally 777 and is still 777. I will try changing it all to 755 to see if it works with those permissions.

Re: paypal 404 issue

It appears to be working at present.  If it works, don't change anything.
