Order Center - Edit Order Item Data
We have a situation where a customer wishes to amend their order by removing one item and replacing with a different one.
I see no way of dealing with this in the order center. Is that the case?

If you have the Point of Sale extension module installed, prior to shipment or major adjustment to the order, you could pull it into the Point of Sale system and do an Order Modification. It works great.
Guessing you don't have the POS installed, so your alternative is to use the Returns function to return the unwanted item for a credit, then instruct the customer to place an order using that credit for the new item. If there's any remaining balance on the credit after their order, you can refund it using the Credit Center.
The POS handles all that in one shot.
