Hello,

I am trying to set up some cross stitch patterns so that people can select either digital download or a physical copy, and I'm not sure how to do this. If someone would be so kind as to explain the process to me I'd very much appreciate it.

Set the pricing type to service/download and enter/upload a downloadable file for the product.

What I meant was I want both digital download with no shipping in the same listing as a hard paper copy with shipping. I would like this as two options. When I try to set it up either I get no shipping for both options or I get shipping cost for both options.

We have also attempted to put the downloadable file up, but Kryptronics did not send the email link for it to be used.

Please help.

In V8 an item can be download only (no shipping required), or shipped plus a download option. If you truly want both, you need to set up two products.

As far as the download link not sending, check to be sure the file exists and is named properly in the {private}/downloads directory, and check to make sure the processing gateway you're processing your order with is enabled for post-order updates.

Two follow-up questions, then:

1. The necessary files to be downloaded are two per item. Is that possible?

2. Any recommended easy way to create the multiple new items, short of creating them individually through the normal management interface?

(1) Yes, use a comma delimited list of files in the download field.

(2) Clone via management interface, or download the ecom_prod table CSV file from Raw DB Admin and have fun in Excel, then import via Raw DB Admin.
