PHP versions

Hi all

My host (1&1) has recently 'upgraded' our PHP version from 5.5 to 5.6.

Am I likely to have any problems with this version and v8 Europacart. If needed I can revert to 5.5 but at a cost that I would like to avoid.

Thanks

Terry

Re: PHP versions

Up to PHP 5.2 (inc PHP 4) is going to work for V6 and V7.

Up to PHP 5.6 (inc PHP 4) is going to work for V7.1 and V8.

Up to PHP 7 (lowest supported PHP is 5.1) is going to work for V9.

Re: PHP versions

Nick

Just to clarify...

Up to PHP 7 (lowest supported PHP is 5.1) is going to work for V8.

Is this correct or did you mean v9?

Re: PHP versions

Nick,

Our host is also upgrading to PHP 5.6.30, can you confirm if V6 (already modified for PHP 5.3) will work with PHP 5.6 or if it would need to be further modified?

MySQL is also being upgraded to 5.6.35, that won't cause an issue for either V6 or V8, correct?

Thanks.

Re: PHP versions

If V6 is modded to work on PHP5.3, it should work on PHP5.6 without issues.  The only potential issue I could see is with volume-based pricing and the use of preg_callback, but depending on how your software was updated, that may have been taken care of - and only crops up if you're using volume pricing.
