Sending PayPal Tracking Numbers
In another post you wrote "this system (v9) is designed to replace multiple systems to provide a single point for all systems to interact" so...
Could you get the cart (via BOM I imagine) to update PayPal transaction status to "Sent" along with the tracking number and delivery company details?

I don't see why not. To do this, I'd probably drop a custom script into the {private}/apps/ecom/ECOM_OrderMan/compl directory that connected to PayPal to handle this for PayPal orders when completed. One script, no core mods. If you're talking about eBay orders, it does this already, via eBay.

Yes, I mean orders placed via our website using CCP and paid using PayPal. If you already have this working for eBay (and I assume Amazon orders) can you add as outlined? We do already have an automated system for adding these details but it would just make the process a little more streamlined.

OK I will take a look at the files you mention when v9 comes out. Will they be there if the eBay mod is not purchased as we don't sell on eBay at present?

Yes, the same methodology would be there to do what you want. I don't believe you'll be using eBay's API to do what you want, or at least not the part used by the eBay Channel module that handles eBay listings and orders. I think eBay has 27 different APIs or something ridiculous like that. The eBay Channel module ties into 4 of them to do what it needs to. I believe the hook into PayPal probably exists in the other 23 somewhere.
