Authorize.net SIM and IFRAME

Hello:

I'm looking to use the Authorize.net SIM method and wanted to know if it's possible to place their checkout form in an iframe so might website will still be visible. I know the AIM method with a SSL is basically what I'm describing. But is it possible with the SIM method? Thanks.

No, don't do that.  Use AIM if you want your site to remain visible, or use SIM and style the Authorize.net forms using their interface.  Do not embed the SIM forms into your site using an iframe.  That will result in mixed-content and security warnings for the end user plus undesirable confirmation displays.

Re: Authorize.net SIM and IFRAME

Thanks Nick for your response. At the moment we are having issues getting PCI compliant due to using a shared hosting environment. I thought the iframe would be a workaround, but as you stated this will only bring up more issues. I think styling the Authorize.net checkout page is our best option. Thanks.

Or use one of the many banks tied into Authnet or FirstData, or gateway vendors like PayPal (Pro) that don't care about PCI compliance.
