Error when trying to access admin area

I just did a fresh install and while the site itself looks fine and appears to have installed correctly, I do not have access to the admin area. I get a loop error as seen here:

I get the equivalent message in Firefox and IE as well, so I know it's not a Chrome issue. I re-ran the installer and realize the automatically-inputted cookies URL wasn't quite right so I changed that and finish re-installing. But no luck. Still receiving the same error.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Error when trying to access admin area

This is most likely an issue with the SSL URL you've entered into your installer.  Check to be sure it's correct.  If your certificate has a 'www' in it, and you didn't entered your SSL with the 'www', but your re-writing all non-www requests in your .htaccess file (either on purpose, or inadvertently), this could happen.

Re: Error when trying to access admin area

Spot on. I wasn't thinking and I input an https:// url into the secure URL, but we don't have a certificate setup yet at all so that's probably why. All is working now. Thanks!

Thanks for the post.

I had the same problem and fixed it the same way.
