Alternative Multi-layered Categories
Hi
Out of interest, I was wondering how much of a mod it would be to have the categories displaying as per wwwjohnlewis.com, even better if it then changes the categories that appear on the left bar of the website to match.. When you see it in action, it makes the list of categories method look a little dated...

It looks to me like you could do all of that simply by adjusting the CSS. I would start by copying the entire 'Required Classes: Skin Widget - NAVMENU' section from /media/skins/css/all.css into your skin's CSS file then start modding from there. The main issues will be disabling the hover action on the third level list, and displaying all section level lists as blocks with set widths.
