My product database has gotten so large that I am unable to download it from within CCP. But when I try to download it via phpmyadmin into a csv file, the columns and rows become all corrupted. I'm pretty sure this is because I am not using the right settings. Here are the setting options the program gives me:
Format: CSV
Character set of the file: utf-8
Columns separated with: ,
Columns enclosed with: "
Columns escaped with: \
Lines terminated with: AUTO
Replace NULL with: NULL
Remove carriage return/line feed characters within columns: NO
Put columns names in the first row: YES
Which one of these setting is incorrect?
Thanks so much for any help or suggestions you can provide. :-)

I've been exporting it as "CSV For MS Excel" or "Open Document Spreadsheet" . Then I make my changes in Excel. Then from Excel I export it as a regular CSV. Then I upload that CSV. That might work better for you.

Thanks soo much for the advice! Unfortunately, however, I do not have Microsoft Excel. I only have OpenOffice Calc. But I'll give your suggestion a try with Calc, and see what happens.
Thanks again,

You don't need Excel, OpenOffice will handle Excel files just fine.
