We have a problem on site where an order is placed by a customer who has a hotmail account. It appears that neither the internal email (Order confirmation to us) nor the Custome email Order confirmation to customer) is sent by the system. So although the order is confirmed on the screen when the customer confirms it, we receive no record of the order.
All works fine when the customer's email domain is other than hotmail.
Can anyone point us in the right direction.
We tried the workaround in the message chain from another memberon this forum, but it simply froe the screen and did nothing.

Have you checked your mail server spam filters / greylisting / etc.?

It was a problem with domain name not being registered on proxy server and therefor relaying not being allowed.
