Hi Guys. I've been putting this off for a while but I suspect it may be time to think about an upgrade. I only use the 'remoteadd' facility of CCP6, I have no catalogues or images etc within CCP, I use my own database and asp pages to generate my website content. Does Europacart allow the same remoteadd function with the same form fields or am I going to have to edit all my asp pages?!
Also, I've been using Internetware Connect to download customers and orders directly into Sage Accounts and to upload invoices for the purpose of updating cart status and sending automated order status emails from CCP6. This is not a function I want to lose, having spent a lot of time and a fair amount of cash which I don't want to spend again! Presumably there is no support for Connect at the moment, particularly bearing in mind the original Connect module code was customized by Greenbarn Web.

One of the biggest change between V6 and V7 for remote adds is probably going to be the change in application name that you use with remote forms. Instead of
<p class="hidden"><input type="hidden" name="app" id="app" value="gbu0" /></p>
it will be
<p class="hidden"><input type="hidden" name="app" id="app" value="ecom" /></p>
which may mean you will need to update your pages.
For connect you will likely need to have that worked on also as the table names have changed between the versions.

Thanks Dave. I guess a simple sitewide 'find and replace' would do the job for the remote add. Not such good news about Connect. I've contacted Internetware (who produce Connect) to see if they might be interested in developing the application for use with Europacart now that Greenbarn have no connection with CCP.

I was under the impression that there was some animosity between Greenbarn and Kryptronic and as such Greenbarn were having no involvement with versions of CCP later than 6.
I would prefer not to use Greenbarn for any type of support/development, it's unfortunate that we don't have a choice when using the gbu0 version of CCP6 and this is one of the main reasons I would prefer to change to Europacart.
Has any integration with Europacart and Tradebox been done? I'm thinking that this may be a 'safer' development route than Connect, with Tradebox coming from Sage at least those two should continue to be compatible. Currently I have Sage, CCP6 and Connect, all from different producers. Connect was purchased third party through Greenbarn and when any issues occur neither company wishes to take responsibility - most frustrating!
