Hi,
Am I doing something completely wrong?
Some of my products list in a google search with the correct title ie "Product name information"
Others list with "online store" as the heading
in a site:www.proofingsolutions.co.uk most of my items are listing with the website name.
Hope this makes sense and someone can point me in the right direction as to rectify this problem,.

go to google and type in site:www.proofingsolutions.co.uk
You will see the only page showing "Online Store" is the splash page and this is because it hasn't been edited from the default title.
Therefore go to Location: System Dashboard > Store > Content > Webpages and edit the meta details for the Splash page.

Hi,
I want the product to have it own description, not 'online store', 'Product index', 'Proofing Solutions - Colour Management Consultancy'.
As you can see from 'site:www.proofingsolutions.co.uk' most of my products are showing 'Proofing.........consultancy' instead of the product information. How come some are showing correctly but not others?

What you are seeing isn't the product page, it is the emailafriend page such as:
http://www.proofingsolutions.co.uk/inst … 07030.html
If you do a search for 6073107030 you will find two of your pages. One is the product page which shows the correct meta title. The other is the email a friend page.
I think that by activating the SEO in CCP stops the emailafriend links being followed.
