I'm too stupid to figure out how to change the category display...

When I click on one of my links for a category, the display has one item per row and uses a display type (image and title only) that I don't designate anywhere.  It's showing up right on featured items and everything else.  Where do I fix the category display?

TIA

Each category has setting on how it will handle the display for sub-categories and product listed under it.  You need to make the changes there to get the display type and number of items per row.

I should add that you can run a raw sql statement to change the curent settings to the ones  you want .

You have to set that for each category in the display section.  It think it is easier to do by using the Store/Catalog/Categories menu in the admin panel.

If all your categories are going to be the same, settings wise, it's quicker to run a sql statement setting the correct display fields, if there different then you have to set them one by one.

You can also export the database, change the fields in Excel and import the corrected data.

John, took your advice (as usual) and I'm all sorted.  Thank you, for the nth time.

Re: I'm too stupid to figure out how to change the category display...

Actually, I lied.  I thought it was working, but it seems like it only picked up the display for some of the categories.  I've tried uploading and downloading several times and it just doesn't seem to want to set the display options through the database for some of the categories.  Ideas?
