Both problems can be controlled in the all.css for the skin your using, that is if your talking about the buttons scrolling into two lines. If this is the case they are creating two lines because the cell size is being controlled by the picture, you can state a no scroll for the button class which should stop it but will more than likely increase the size of the cell for the picture. By "weight" I am guessing you mean font weight and this too can be controlled in all.css (skin_fenav).
