Hi,
I have been having the problem lately of my products disappearing from
my Categories. If I edit the sort order, change the images or any other
task, some (not all) of the products are no longer visible. When I go
back in to re-enable the association, sometimes it takes, and other
times it does not. This is a recent problem, that suddenly started.
Please let me know.

I just exported the database for products, and it shows that the items are still associated with the categories.
If I use the online interface, the checkbox is not checked in the associations box. I really, really need help
as soon as possible.

Ok,
No response, no ideas?
It turns out that the products in question somehow ended up with a single space after the ID, which upon re-submittal of the changed product, made it disappear from the Categories (Thank You Kryptronic's Techs). I hope this is useful for anyone with the same problem, for future reference.

I am having the same issues. Each time I go into a product to make a change (and even if I don't make any changes) it disappears from view yet if I search for it I can see it in the results.

I think I'm experiencing a similar issue. My database is quite populated and all the items are appearing on the store, but it's nothing but blank entries when I try to edit the products from the admin area.
