Upgrade/Import from 5.1 to Europacart different server and URL

HI there

We want up upgrade to Europacart from 5.1. Now the problem is we will building the new site on a new server and on a new url, the idea being that once it is built w will point the old URL to the new site.

QUESTION can we import all the info such as clients, orders products etc from the old site to the new site despite them being in different places and different URLS?

Negative. The importer will only work when both versions are on the same server.
