Change domain name

Guys, please forgive a newbie question...
I have created a CCP7.1 site at domain 1.
I want to change the domain name to domain 2.
Nothing else changes - the hosting, the site build, the db etc won't change, it's simply that I want to change the domain name to a better one.
Step-by-step instructions would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Re: Change domain name

You should only need to re-run the installer and set the new domain names and or paths.

I've got a heavily customised CCP store, where we need to change the domain name.

It's being hosted on the exact same server, and so I only need to update the domain name and path information - I really don't want to rerun the installer, as I suspect this will overwrite a number of the customised files and cause me to have to redo a lot of the work.

I've taken a look through the database, but the domain does not seem to be mentioned in there anywhere other than in the sessions and orders table - so, I guess it's specific in some config files somewhere.

Other than the two config files mentioned above, are there any other files where the path/domain information is stored that would need to be updated?

Thanks in advance...

Re: Change domain name

Running the installer will not change anything unless you specifically tell it to. You may run it from start to finish without altering anything. Run it to and through the steps where the domain and physical server paths are input and stop after that to fix things.
