Assuming you have established your categories and have products in your database, you now relate the products to the appropriate category.
Manage Product To Category Relationships <<<<<<<<<GO HERE
Select a product and click 'Manage'. On the resulting screen click 'Relate' next to the category you want the product associated with. Repeat if you want it associated with more than one category.
That's it in a nutshell.

It was much easier to enter the category along with the product such as in CCP4.
CCP5 has made it next to impossible to organize my merchandise.
Many of my products have the same product name but different and unique product identification numbers. CCP5 list my merchandise by product name in the product relationship area.
Anyone have any suggestions about organizing the category's without renaming my merchandise?

Offhand, could you just use a different product Product Ref/Url String for each? Products can have the same Product Name as long as the ref's are unique. Then associate each with the appropriate category.
