Moving store

I've been working on my store in a temporary folder. I will soon want to move it to the domain location. What is the easiest way to do that?

Thanks

Re: Moving store

Hello Chuck. The first entry in  is the best way to do it.  Moving an entire directory should be very easy using either your FTP client or "file manager" through your hosting providers control panel.

Re: Moving store

Thanks Dave.
I know the actual physical move will not amount to much but I was concerned about path settings in the pages and possible issues in the database.

I have to admit, I had forgotten to check the Wiki. I had searched the forums however and found nothing. At least the next time someone searches the forum they'll find this and be directed to the Wiki ;-)

Re: Moving store

A database isn't related to where things are stalled and may be on a completely different server.  Moving the location of the store on a server doesn't impact how the database is reached.

Re: Moving store

Unless a record in one of the tables contains information regarding the configuration.

Re: Moving store

None do unless you have, incorrectly, used an absolute path for some reason.  All location information CCP needs/uses is stored in the config.php files which the installer updates.
