Hi Dave
Please forgive a newbie question:
I installed CCP7 to a "spare" domain which I've hidden from the search engines, but the site is live on the net (the spare domain has an odd name so I doubt if anyone will find it). I'm therefore working on a live site, I know that's not perfect but I'm happy with that - I find it easier to work on a real live site rather than a local copy.
When I've finished designing it I want to shift the entire shiny new site into what will be the "real" domain name, and start trading. (The "real" domain has been running on a different server for years, I'm simply upgrading it to CCP - I'll change the nameservers when I shift the site). So, effectively I'd have two domains on the same server, and I'd be moving the CCP installation from one domain to another.
What's the best way of doing this, please?
Kind regards
Paul

As long as CCP won't be "visible" on the temporary domain after the move simply move the entire installation and run the installer to update the physical server paths.

Would deleting index.php do the trick? Or password protect the account?

If you move things index.php and everything else shouldn't be there any longer.

Aah yes, move rather than copy. Point taken. Thanks, Dave...

Dave,
Quick question. I hve 3 CCP 7 lisc. I'm curious if I cna install all three lisc on one server using seperate store directories, differnet skins, etc. Is this possible?

As long as they each have their own domain identity/name sure.

All of them would be on the same domain, just using seperate install folders. Will it still work?
The other issue I am having is that some PC's can't seem to access me main site or my blogs. Are redirects on subdomaions normally problematic like this? I had installed Wordpress blogging S/W on a sub domain and a lot of people can't get to it either.
