Upgrade issues

Hi,

After an upgrade which I thought was working I started to have a few problems.

I was about to start again but was unable to delete any of the files/folders from my host.

When I looked at the folders that were created by Clickcartpro, they all have owner (99), Group (99). These are the only files and folders on my host which I can't delete.

Is this normal?

Thanks.

Re: Upgrade issues

File ownership is determined by your provider and how they have things configured.  No idea what you mean by owner 99 and group 99 as those aren't "normal" file ownership settings.  The web process or your hosting ID usually ends up as the owner of files (though I believe you're on a Windows server so virtually nothing I said applies if that's true).  You'll need to contact your provider to get the ownership corrected.

Re: Upgrade issues

it is a unix server, the thing that is weird though is the fact that all clickcartpro files and folders inherited these owner (99), group (99) definitions, no other files have these.

They have corrected this issue, but in the meantime have actually stopped my site working all together. Wish I had just stuck with clickcartpro 6 as this upgrade is becoming a nightmare.

Also, any idea why my prodfeature products no longer show on the splash screen?

And are there any skins for version 7, or can I just buy version 6 skins?

Normally file ownership of files and directories created during installation will be that of the owner, you, or the web server process depending on how the provider has things configured.

As has been suggested in the other thread you have going about this make sure that the products have the Featured Item flag set to True in the product details in admin as a first step.

All of the ZipSkins that were available for 6 are available for 7.

Re: Upgrade issues

The feature item flag is set to true.

It imported this info when I did the importer. I have also checked individual products to ensure it is set to true.

Any ideas?
