Multiple Applications on CCP 7

Does anyone know if version 7 still supports multiple apps (ccp0, ccp1, etc)? I was considering to upgrade but needed to know how those multiple apps are handled. From the demo it looks like it may no longer be supported.

Re: Multiple Applications on CCP 7

The concept of multiple stores (applications) over one core is no longer supported.  Was a good idea in theory but didn't work out well at all.

Re: Multiple Applications on CCP 7

We had a very limited number of users who cascaded ClickCartPro instances in the Hybrid X Core.  When we looked at the amount of code we needed to support that and the fact that it wasn't used very much, we removed that functionality from the architecture.  The result is a system where communication between components is possible.

Re: Multiple Applications on CCP 7

Thank you Dave and Nick. So in the case of those with multiple apps what is the best way to upgrade? It sounds like there wont be any difficulties since the only real difference will be each app running on its own with separate databases and folders, but anything I should be aware of? The apps do have XMODs.

Re: Multiple Applications on CCP 7

sppars- Please email me so we can discuss.  We'll be able to do the import as a job through the custom shop.  Importing from ccp0 to CCP7 install 1 won't be an issue - but you will need some importer tweaks to get the data from ccp1 to CCP7 install 2.
