Re: Ssl

Once they have installed the certificate for your site run the installer and change the SSL URL.  Once you're past that step you may exit the installer.  That should be all you need to do to have SSL used on pages that need it.

Re: Ssl

You do not need to reinstall the whole system. Run the KHXC installer and Just add the new SSL address on step 3. Leave everything else as it is with no other changes.

Just ensure you have the correct SSL address including the path setting otherwise you will not be able to log into the KHXC Management system.

Re: Ssl

hi,
the server company told me..

Quote:   We have set up your site to use a single directory for housing SSL and non-SSL content, set in plesk under yourdomain.com > Set Up          So you don't need to install click cart pro in https.

I'm confused now, ccp is installed in httpdocs/khxc at the moment

what do i have to put into httpsdocs (if anything)

also, when ive sorted that do i have to activate ssl in the ccp6 back end?

Thanks for your replies, this part is a bit of a steep learning curve for me.

Kind regards,

Graham

Re: Ssl

Hi All,

I have also just purchased SSL from Thawte, but this is after I've made changes to the skins, pages, and also databases.

I am scared to re-install CCP and have to go through the changes all over again.

As Mike says above to re-install KHXC up to step 3 only, will it then leave all the changes intact and just add SSL to the site?

Thank you.
NCP

Re: Ssl

You may run the installer from start to finish and it won't change anything unless you explicitly tell it to.  Just run the installer to the step where you change the URL and you're done.

Re: Ssl

Thanks Dave,

Re-installed up to Step 3 and store secured symbol now showed up properly on relevant pages.

I noticed that if I used the secured https to access the management Interface, things get slowed down quite a bit. Should I be accessing the Management Interface via secured login?

Thanks,
NCP

Re: Ssl

The admin interface will use the SSL connection.  Any SSL connections are going to slow down at least somewhat because of the encryption that has to take place before a page may be delivered.  It certainly shouldn't be noticeable in most cases.  In admin there is a LOT of data coming across the wire.
