I have read the other threads on this, but the answer is still not resolved, can support point us in the right direction to fix this problem.

Go to 'Home > ClickCartPro > Forms: Advanced Software Forms > Manage Advanced Software Form Fields' and look about 2/3 down for 'ccp0.addbookupd Delivery Address: Location Residential/Commercial'. In there find 'Form Field Specification' and turn the 'Required Indicator*' to false. At this point the person submitting the form will not be required to input this field.

Thanks for your reply, but this does not work as it does not proceed with the order it says the following:
Thank you. Your new account has been created. Use the new email address you entered to access your account in the future.
I have tried this approch from one of the other threads in the forum!
Does this work for you?

Here is the one piece to solve the problem to this and stop the looping. Go to > Forms: Advanced Software Forms > Manage Advanced Software Form Fields
In all of the Residential/Commercial fields, in the Default Value field - insert an R
Make sure that you have them all set to NOT REQUIRED - by changing that field to FALSE.
Then you can hide the field using the database. I just did it and it worked perfectly for me. The field does not even show up on the account form.
Hope this helps!

I must be missing something, Tonin after filling in the account form does it then proceed with the order? I'm still getting the loop, this is giving me a massive headache!

Yes it proceeds to the next step to get payment info. I will review all the steps for you. Follow the instructions explicitly and it should work for you.
#1 - Go to > Forms: Advanced Software Forms > Manage Advanced Software Form Fields
Find all instances of Residential/Commercial in the Display Name - there are 4. 3 on the first page, and 1 on page 2.
Make sure the Required Indicator* of each is set to False(0)
To the right of that field is the Default Value field. Insert an R - make sure it is a capital letter just as shown.
#2 - Go to Kryptronic Hybrid X Core > Database: Connections, Backups and Raw Admin > Raw Database Admin
And browse the khxc_formfields table. Look for id's that begin with 'ccp0' and end with 'rescom' and change their 'type' column to 'HIDDEN-REG'.
There are also 4 of these - listed below.
ccp0.accountmaint.rescom
ccp0.addbookins.rescom
ccp0.addbookupd.rescom
ccp0.createaccount.rescom
Very IMPORTANT - Don't change anything else here!
That should do it. If you've made any changes already, make sure that everything is set using the steps above or else change back all of those to the defaults and start over. Once you get it right, you should be able to run through and order and see that the field for Residential/Commercial does not even show up in the Account Creation form. Check it out and let me know if you have any problems.
Good luck!

No still not working, I have set all the defaults to the original settings and re-applied as stated above, here is the domain so you can see whats wrong wwwfireplacestoreonline.com

Yes I was, do you think it would be somthing to do with the UK version of the software, try to purchase a fireplace?

I reported this weeks ago back in the forum, and it never got resolved,
even when you have done everthing above you think you have cracked it till a customer rings saying it stuck in a loop, yet seem fine with me, till you clear your cache and log in as a new customer.
Then set it to un hide you will see that the field has defaulted to blank.
so now awaiting software update as i understand it may be a option to turn it off

Nobody knows. Nick is working and has stated it will be out ASAP but he will not promise a date because he was slammed on the forum for missing an estimated release date. I'm confident our patience will be rewaded and it will be out shortly.
My two cents,

Maybe it does have something to do with you using the UK version. I don't know what the difference is except for the file names.
Although, Lewis, it sounds to me like you do not have the default value set for each one. You can't do it in the database admin though. You have to do it through the form fields. It was looping for me also until I set them all to R. I tested it both ways, with the field showing on the form and then with it hidden. It worked for both. I was able to complete the sale each time.
Both of you should go through each form field and make sure its set up correctly.
I'm waiting for the next update with baited breath too. It's going to be HUGE and a very great thing for us all. Now I just wish I could find someone to help me figure out how to implement a free trial period.
One thing at a time I guess. ![]()

I'm on the UK version too and hoped I could turn these fields off and use a hidden default value. Tried so many alternative settings. Hmm... did not work. Fortunately, the original settings here >>

I have removed what I posted here as it was not the solution to the problem and would be missleading. I have come up with another solution which is posted later in this thread.

I am running the UK version and am failing to find the gbu0_formfield or ccp0_formfield in that section. I have khxc_formfields within the section, would I be correct in assuming this is the correct database to search and edit the above entries?
EDIT: Yes this is the correct area.

Sorry I keep doing that, it would be khxc_formfields, I have corrected that in my last post.
Remember that if you change these feilds they will only affect either new accounts or accounts when they are updated. If an account was created with this field empty and you have hidden this field(s) it will remain empty and give you problems untile you change it through your admin screen in manage user accounts. So the best way to test this is to make the changes and then creat a test user account.

Switch back on your hidden fields and i bet you find that one of the required fields is blank instead of the default value
I and still awaiting for the udate for the UK to fix this

I have needed to remove uneccessary form fields related to account as have many others.
I have followed the instructions as per the above.
Found that doing this causes a loop. Therefore have reverted back to original values for all database entries.
How do we go about fixing these issues?

This was moved to the UK support forum as the methodology outlined here works in the base version. I think the UK version may be having issues with this. Howard will need to investigate.

I removed my eariler post on this subject as it was not the right answer. But I think that I have come up with aother solution which as of now is working. I posted this on the US side;
I have posted on this subject before (removing the residential / commercial field) but I now know that what I posted does not work so I went back and took another look at this. What I have come up with is actualy easyer than I thought it would be so I have made these changes to the khxc_formfields for ccp0_createaccount.rescom field.
type* = HIDDEN-REG
typeparam = SELECT {COLS} FROM ccp0_rescom WHERE id='R'
cssclass = HIDDEN
All the other fields at the present have been left with there defualt values and I have tested it with serveral new account which got there residential / commercial field set to residential. The field in not removed but it is not shown to new customers but can be seen and changed in account maintaince.
There is a good reason to keep the field active if you are useing realtime shipping so see if this helps.

That's ingenious, John! ![]()
I used the same thing, only my client's site is business-to-business, so I changed the "R" to a "C".
SELECT {COLS} FROM ccp0_rescom WHERE id='C'
Worked Great!

I have done this to the UK version with the slight change below (ccp0 to gbu0 )
and it seems to work fine
