how many orders a day do you get (and what do you sell) to be able to buy a $6500 piece of software that you aren't even using anymore?

We sent it back during the trial period to get the refund. We also did this with AdvancePro which was an even bigger disaster. Honestly wyattea our only non-refundable waste of money was continuous upgrades of QuickBooks in hopes that it will conform to more of what we needed for order management. The reality is that our ROI for StoneEdge was within the first year and we are on year three now with four upgrades from where we started and testing beta for the next generation of SEOM which shows a lot of promise.
So I guess it's a matter of perspective that we saved $22,000 per year by not hiring on someone to keep up with data entry as well as the accuracy rating we now enjoy at 98.7% compared to 78.3% before which translates into many thousands of dollars saved now that we don't have to reship items and pay for return shipping due to OUR ERRORS. As for customer retention, this can not be measured in dollars. We are in a wholesale industry where every dollar counts and it has been our survival to make sure mistakes are minimized and proficiency is maximized.
It doesn't matter what you sell... process management is key if you ever plan to build your business to include employees and warehouse staff. So in the not so short of it.. we saved many many dollars as a result of the investment for SEOM. We hope that the final piece of the puzzle in CCP6 or 7 will complete that model that we need for process management automation.
Thanks
