Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

Has anyone finished a CCP6 site, other than the demo so we can all see what you can do with this baby?

Thanks

Re: Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

Our site CCP6 site has about 5000 products on it at present.

It is still a work in progress and needs more products added, the categories need to be sorted properly and the long descriptions need to be extended to include all product details.

We are still adding images but with about 12,000 to process this is taking some time.

You are welcome to take a look, the URL is: wwwdjshopper.net

Re: Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

http://www.widexl.com/remote/search-eng … lyzer.html thats great, your site came up good on this search engine analyzer for meta tags, which is great as 5.1 wasn't so good on this even with ats.

you got a lot of catagories on there, do you find you can remove bits you don't want easily?, I also want the splash page showing first, I guess that is easy enough with /htaccess file.

How do you find cataloging it all up to the old ccp51?

I think the only one close to this is Actinic, although more costly and not sure about.

Thanks

Litemaster,

Just curious.  I checked our your site and was looking here:
http://www.djshopper.net/khxc/index.php … ofw3217027

I noticed that the image took a second to load, so I rclicked it and saw it was a 1.5meg picture.  Does CCP6 use one picture per product and scale it for category view, product view, detail view, xlg view?  Or did you just upload a really big picture for the product/category view?

CCP6 has separate folders for Small, Large and Extra Large images. The ones displayed are entered via the Manage Online Store Products entry form.

We have a huge collection of images; we will eventually compress the big ones so everything loads faster. At present we are concentrating on getting the items on line and seeing how they look. (We are still playing)

It’s nice to know that the search-engines metatag-analyzer showed up so well, we haven’t optimised anything for the search engines yet. It will be on our To-Do list.

As for the folders we are in the process of reducing the main folders and putting more products into sub-folders running off the main categories. The problem we have is that we need to get about 10,000 products on line and any way we do it the site and each folder will be quite large.

We are trying to keep to a maximum of around 150 to 200 products in each sub-folder. It’s a lot of work but Nick has done such a good job CCP6 is well up to the task.

Re: Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

meshugy, urs is looking good, glad to see u worked thru the templates.

Im trying to get one of my non live sites from this template http://www.udesignkitchens.com.au to http://www.udesignkitchens.com.au/store/index.php
Weve been working thru the css to get it all happening and its getting there slowly. Just trying to work out a few bugs mostly with the login text, for some reason cant get it to show in black, even after hardcoding the class in.

I need to get this mastered before I tackle fleshlight as that ones gonna take some effort to get changed as well.

Re: Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

I am still tweaking colors and don't have all of my products listed but here is mine:  http://www.verybaby.com/ccp51/index.php  it's a girly website, since most of my customers are women.

I'm also toying with the idea of ditching all the tables except for tables used for tabular data and doing a pure CSS layout.  Since we should all know using tables for layout is stupid:  http://www.hotdesign.com/seybold/everything.html

Re: Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

I really like the design of the wwwfretobsession.com/ccp site.  Has anyone done anything like this with design other than this site and kryptronic.com?  The skin system is so flexible I'm surprised at this point that more people haven't done some radical stuff with it.  I guess the default skin is well liked.  I can say that I'm pretty pleased we have so many production sites live after only a month...

Re: Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

I agree Nick the FretObsession site is very nice.  Perhaps a short FAQ on how to change skins etc would be good? when  you got time ;O)

Thanks

Hi Nick,

Just a few honest thoughts.

The system may be flexible, but I am having difficulty figuring out what is where and so on. Changing the colors has been a 2 day issue. I would love to see a graph designed - something like this
http://lh6.google.com/image/silatgirl/RdRwMNt9cwI/AAAAAAAAABM/L9SSoNFkRQM/graph.jpg

Also a basic tutorial with some tips (that may be submitted by users) would be great.

It is not that I cannot design a site, it is that the tools I am given are foreign to me and are missing directions. All in all, you know that I am a loyal customer, love supporting you and respect your work. I hope that you can understand that I need to be able to express myself and let you know what works and what does not work "for me" as a customer. I know that you know your software inside an out, but the rest (at least myself) is not there with you Nick. To get us closer to you, a few things would be very helpful:

A) A good detailed manual that does not skip any steps.
B) Some how to manuals when it comes to design, some graphs perhaps.

Also,
C) Using different colors in the admin section to differentiate X-Core from CCP will help people to locate where they are and not get lost for hours on end.

Here is something I use personally - I pull a person totally new to my site and ask them to sit down and place an order. I give them 3 products to order and see how they do it. I note their struggles and try to fix it. I do not guide them nor do I say "it is right there how could you not see that". After all, like you I too know where everything is and it is all so clear to me. However the people spending their hard earned money in my store may not (and do not) feel the same way.

Bottom line, I am in need to a little support myself. I am hoping that you will offer it to us all soon. Thank you for all your hard work.

Kay

Re: Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

We are working on getting a wiki online currently.  After the initial flood of forum imported info I will begin writing wiki pages on design and use of the KHXC and ClickCartPro.  It will be an ongoing process - but will start in a couple of days.

Re: Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

well fireworks came with studio8 which I own, so I have stuck with it, I refuse to pay out more money to get photoshop. It is difficult to do somethings in fireworks, but I usualy find a website that has a work around to get must done.

Re: Example CCP6 Completed Sites?

Why are most of your home page links not SEO friendly?  After I navigate to any page, the links all turn SEO.  But when I first get to the store from the link you just posted, all the links are long non-SEO format.
