Hi there,
Not to sound stupied but what do you mean by "how is the domain managed?"
Could there be something in my store code, which is doing the redirection???

OK here is how it works.
The domain is "sent" to a bit of disk space "your site" by either your hosting company or you depending on how the site is manged - hence the question on who maned the domain.
Typically on your space their is then a file which "tells" the browser either what to display to the user or where to go and then when it gets there what to display.
Ge tit gets fun, each server may be setup to behave differently. Server I use displays index.html then index.htm then default.html etc.
What you need to do is find waht is happening BEFORE the cart script is reached.
My suspision is that your intial page is set to forward automaticlly to the cart script but this is the important bit it is being told to go there by a file first UNLESS your domain is managed in such a way that the domain is forwarding directly to
Hope this helps

The default.htm and index.htm that come as standard have:
<HTML>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="0; URL=cgi-bin/cp-app.pl">
</HTML>
which does the automatic redirect to the cgi.
I have noticed a lot of shops that have the default as wwwshop.co.uk (ie no cgi as the link)
I'd be interested to know if they have simply used the shop template to put a html layer over the site (i.e no cgi, but cgi links, and so no cgi variables) that looks like the cart, or have spoofed the cart into displaying the link without the cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi link
Ideas, suggestions etc welcome.
